Prototype fabrication
FDM filament printing
FDM printing is a classic rapid prototyping tool that offers great flexibility in material, low turnaround times and decent quality. At Littlechip, we have experience printing with the following materials: PLA (standard biodegradable), TPU (flexible), ABS (stronger and more durable), HIPS (high-impact resistance) and Nylon (high abrasion resistance).
Machining
For larger parts made from steel and aluminium, we have a handful of local specialists we prefer. They employ modern CNC machining and experienced human operators to produce quality parts.
SLA resin printing
The SLA printing methodology excels at producing smaller parts with very fine details, to a high degree of accuracy. Compared to FDM printing, SLA parts have a much better finish, but tend to be less flexible and more prone to cracking. These properties can produce significant advantages over FDM printing within certain applications.
Laser cutting
Laser cutting lets us quickly manufacture 2-dimensional parts from MDF, sheet metal and acrylic. With smart design, this technique can be a great tool to efficiently build large and strong prototypes.
PCB manufacturing
Once we’ve settled on a PCB design, validated the design in software, physically prototyped and tested the design, we can send the PCB off to a handful of vendors for rapid, small batch manufacturing. We have a number of preferred suppliers in terms of budget, quality, and turnaround time to suit your requirements.
